Before any building stood here, the intention was already clear. My wife and I wanted to create a quiet, grounded retreat space for deep inner work. We didn’t know exactly how it would take form, but the direction felt certain.

Before purchasing the land, I had already worked with the medicine in both private and group settings — here and in Mexico. The work isn’t new; it’s a continuation of years of practice, now supported by a space intentionally created for it.

We sold everything — our home, our business — and moved out here without jobs, trusting the land to guide the process. At first, it was just forest, silence, and a steady pull toward this way of life. There were moments that felt strangely familiar, as if we’d been here before.

I lived in a trailer for seven months while building the house. My wife stayed with her mom and sister until the home was ready. My best friend was here too, helping build the house and acting as a mirror — reflecting what was happening inside me as much as outside. After the house was finished, we both worked locally — I drove a school bus part-time, and my wife worked at a coffee shop — supporting ourselves while the retreat took shape. The outer work and the inner work happened simultaneously. As the house took shape on a strong foundation, so did I.

Over time, the land and life here settled: a small home, a garden, chickens, quiet mornings, wildlife, and the rhythm of the forest. The retreat cabin was built to offer a private, simple space for one-on-one work. In the future, there may be more cabins or a ceremonial space for group retreats, but for now, this quiet simplicity feels right.

Nothing here was rushed. It all grew step by step, supported by the same inner work that now guides the retreats. The land isn’t a backdrop; it’s part of the process. It holds people the same way it held us — quietly, honestly, and without pretense.

This is the result of intention, experience, sacrifice, friendship, and a kind of remembering. A space built from the inside out, and one that will continue to evolve naturally, however that may unfold.

Begin with a conversation...

If you feel called to this work, we invite you to reach out.
Every retreat begins with a simple conversation — a space to ask questions, share what brings you here, and see if this path feels right for you.

From there, we’ll walk together — step by step — in preparation for your time with Iboga and the deeper journey within.
